Originally developed, to a rigorous specification, for use by NATO Armed Forces as an integrated logistical system.
Manufactured from 1.0mm, 1.2mm or 1.5mm sheet according to size.
Seam welded along vertical seams, top and base edges rolled in to rim extrusions. Corner beading.
With additional sealant around the inside of the base, the container is waterproof up to the levels of the handles. IP54 above that level.
Cast alloy corners on lid and base ensures strength and positive stacking. Additional features in the base castings allow for external blind M6 screw fitting and internal M8 fixings.
M5 sealed screws in the walls make it possible to secure equipment or to fit internal divider panels (not supplied).
Some of the container models have a document holder on the inside of the lid.
Stainless steel hinge protected from over-extension by two polyester restraint straps.
Sprung handles, steel version on the larger models.
Passed simple stacking load test of 1200kg.
Stack angle of 15 degrees from the vertical without slippage.
Drop test of 800mm free fall on to each corner, 50kg loading, without impairment to the protection characteristics.
